Job Overview

The Facilities Financial Coordinator performs specialized work providing management and analysis in both detailed and summary reporting situations, as well as coordinating department interdependencies for the Facilities Financial Division.  They manage a Facilities Financial Team that is primarily focused on the financial resources for multiple Facilities Operations teams, including Maintenance Operations, Custodial Operations, Facilities Contracts Management, and Energy Management.  At times they may also be assigned support the entire Facilities team, including the Facilities Environmental Health & Safety Division and the Facilities Construction Services Division.  Interacts as necessary with the Directors and Supervisors within Facilities to assess priorities in a fast-paced work environment that provides the maximum financial management support to Facilities stakeholders. Duties are primarily high-level administrative as well as technical. Work is performed independently and requires excellent judgment and the ability to make expert interpretations of policies, practices, and regulations. The incumbent will represent the Director when necessary.  The Facilities Financial Coordinator reports to the Supervisor, Facilities Financial.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in public administration, business, accounting, or related field

 

     Experience

Five years of successful supervisory experience in financial management

Essential Personnel

A workplace emergency is an unforeseen situation that threatens the staff, pupils, or the public; disrupts or shuts down business operations; or causes physical or environmental damage. Emergencies may be natural or manmade. It is incumbent upon the supervisor to inform and confirm which essential personnel are required to work during emergency closings. Notification and confirmation of the expectation of essential personnel to report to work, or maintain as-needed status, will be executed with as much advanced notice as possible via in-person communication or email.
