Job Overview

Substitute administrators serve as temporary employees. In the absence of a school administrator, the substitute will assist with implementing, supervising, maintaining student conduct, and evaluating the comprehensive educational program as it relates to instruction and assessment in accordance with State and School Board Policies and district rules and regulations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly talking, expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. The employee must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly. The employee must possess normal cognitive abilities including the ability to learn, recall and apply certain practices and policies. Frequently sitting and/or remaining in a stationary position for long periods of time. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

 

 

Organizational Relationship  

The substitute administrator reports either to the Director of the appropriate grade level (Elementary, Middle, or High School) or to the building-level principal.

 

 

 Terms of Employment

 Substitutes are employed on an at-will basis and are not considered contractual employees
