Job Overview
The Registrar–DSS directly supports the Senior Registrars by assisting new families with enrollment questions and scenarios while following the state and local school board regulations. The Registrar–DSS is an administrative professional whose duties include supporting and training school-based registrars and attendance keepers.
Roles and Responsibilities

- Support the Senior Registrars with administering new registrar and attendance onboarding training.
- Assist with training for the maintenance of student scholastic records per LCPS guidelines.
- Assists with delivering continued staff training in appropriate areas of responsibility.
- Supports school-based staff with issues surrounding enrollment of students into the student information systems and unique enrollment scenarios.
- Answers questions within the area of authority; directs questions to appropriate staff members.
- Works closely with the Senior Registrars, special permission office, transportation, and the McKinney Vento liaison regarding unique registration scenarios.
- Supports families with the ParentVUE system.
- Stays current on pupil accounting changes/requirements at the state and local level.
- Supports the Department of Student Services in matters related to enrollment data accuracy.
- Responds to requests for information from the public, parents, staff, and other interested parties.

Qualifications

Education High School Diploma or GED
Experience
Experience serving as a school-based registrar with an attendance-keeping background

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of Synergy (Phoenix) Student Information Systems, Microsoft Suite, and Google Suite
- Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills
- Strong organization and interpersonal and decision-making skills
- Ability to work efficiently and ensure accurate data entry
- Exceptional customer support skills
- Demonstrate ability to ensure confidentiality, discretion, and sensitivity to diverse family situations
- Ability to work at a fast pace and ability to multitask
- Ability to make all families feel welcome in the community
- Hold a valid driver's license and can drive to school sites
