Job Overview
The Ambassador Coach plays a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing the instructional practices of international educators. This position involves providing ongoing professional development and job-embedded coaching support to ensure Ambassador Teachers successfully transition into their roles and deliver high-quality, culturally rich learning that enhances student achievement.
Roles and Responsibilities

- Provides one-on-one coaching for Ambassador Teachers through classroom visits, feedback, modeling, reflection, and problem-solving.
- Communicates and works collaboratively and confidentially with teachers and administrators.
- Provides workshops that will enhance the professional learning and efficacy of teachers.
- Facilitates reflective conversations with teachers to drive instructional practices.
- Maintains records of coaching visits.
- Collects data to inform relevant professional development for Ambassador Teachers.
Qualifications
Below are the minimum qualifications for this job. Equivalent combinations of education and experience are also acceptable.
Education
Bachelor’s degree
Experience
Five years of teaching experience and recognized as an exemplary classroom teacher utilizing effective instructional strategies.
Licenses and Certifications
Holds a valid Virginia teaching license.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate best practices for instruction to support teachers.
- Demonstrated commitment to personal growth and learning.
- Proven ability to work cooperatively and effectively with colleagues.
- Demonstrated skills in analyzing and using data for instructional decision-making.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
