Position Overview
Teachers will guide 6th-8th grade students through a STEM-based curriculum. Teachers will implement learning experiences in collaboration with the Science department and PROPEL & Level Up. Teachers will facilitate the learning of students using inquiry-based learning techniques. Teachers will facilitate two 2 ½ hour STEM courses per day for a one-week Level Up STEM Camp. Teachers will have an opportunity to select and teach courses based on a curriculum provided and chosen by them.
Primary Responsibilities
- Promote healthy academic behaviors in children in a developmentally appropriate manner.
- Establish a safe and supportive environment that is conducive to learning and enables students to demonstrate agency, ownership, and reflection.
- Facilitate students utilizing the inquiry-based learning model.
- Mentor and work with student counselors.
- Support and participate in the professional learning community to deepen the understanding of the curriculum, content, and competencies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
- Holds or is eligible for a Virginia teaching license with an endorsement in Elementary Education or a STEM-related field.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective collaborative relationships with students, peers, administrators, and parents.

Organizational Relationship
This part-time hourly position reports to the Supervisor of Science in Teaching and Learning.

This is a part-time, non-benefited, hourly position. No guarantee of minimum hours.
Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM Locations: Academies of Loudoun - June 30 – July 3, 2025

Salary Level:Band Rates, Band 15 $39.14/hourly
